Nexigent selects Blueprint Technologies for support in design of Web portal
The portal is designed to bring new therapies to market faster by aiding interactions between companies, investigators and contract research organizations for more effective and efficient clinical trial management.
By providing consultation on key technologies such as Software Architecture, Object-Oriented (OO) Design and Rational Software's Rational Unified Process (RUP), Blueprint plans to work with Nexigent in assessing the architectural needs of the tools and infrastructure to simplify the drug trial process through its Web portal.
Nexigent provides technology-enabled services designed to reduce the time and cost involved in clinical trials. The company's Internet-based clinical trial services aim to assist pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies by bringing more medicines to market at lower costs, therefore meeting patient demands for new and cost-effective treatments.

As part of the project, Blueprint will maintain several system architects at Nexigent, allowing architects to consult and work with the Nexigent team in a customized team approach. In addition, Blueprint will provide training in the Rational Unified Process (RUP), Requirement Management with User Cases (RMUC) and Object-Oriented technology.
