In a joint statement issued after the meeting, the suppliers affirmed, "Our companies selected SciQuest over a year ago because of its industry focus, proven technology and commitment to excellence in execution. Our industry has a common interest in having an independently operated and industry-sponsored company to provide software, services and supply chain solutions that make e-commerce work for the scientific industry."
Commenting on recent announcements within the industry, the statement continued, "We believe it is extremely clear that SciQuest's strategy and execution have been superior. As our strategic partner for e-commerce services, we are working with SciQuest to create the industry standard for how business will be conducted in the future in an open environment that is freely accessible and available to the entire industry. With significant capital reserves and a customer base that includes half of the ten largest pharmaceutical companies, six of the top ten chemical companies and many of the leading biotechs and universities, SciQuest is changing how business is conducted in this industry. Our companies support SciQuest's e-commerce approach."
"SciQuest is pleased with the continuing support and leadership from these premium suppliers," said Scott Andrews, SciQuest's CEO and Founder. "Almost two years ago, we recognized the need for independently operated B2B marketplace providers to be sponsored by and tightly integrated with leading 'bricks and mortar' companies and thus established our 'Alliance' program. Working together with these partners has allowed us to offer the most effective and efficient e-commerce solution to our common customers. We are focused on increasing collaborations with industry leading suppliers."
SciQuest's technology and back-office infrastructure can be utilized independently or integrated with software vendors and supplier systems to unite science, information and technology. SciQuest's solutions, including the EMAX electronic Research asset management and planning solutions, are designed to enhance innovation and improve operational effectiveness.
