Immtech appoints director of Intranet drug development networking program
In her new role at Immtech, Garcia will be responsible for managing the Web-based corporate information network established for communication among members of the company's scientific consortium. As part of her responsibilities, Garcia will also monitor Immtech's research and development activities, as well as the scheduling and performance of vendors leading to the commercialization of drugs. In addition, Garcia will oversee the implementation of a program for electronic regulatory submissions.

Prior to joining Immtech, Garcia worked as Assistant Director of Operations for Monsanto Worldwide Regulatory Affairs, where she contributed to FDA submissions and other internal regulatory organizations. Garcia also held senior-level positions in research and development at G.D. Searle Pharmaceuticals, now a subsidiary of Pharmacia.
