HCRI and MPACT select Clinsoft for clinical trial management

HCRI will implement the Clintrial system as part of its effort to ensure data quality and maximize productivity and efficiency in its management of clinical research focused on assessing the effectiveness of new therapies.

HCRI provides clinical research services and facilitates access to the clinical research capabilities of Harvard Medical School and several of its affiliated institutions including Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Collectively these HCRI-affiliated members conduct over 1,200 clinical trials on an annual basis.

"We look forward to working with Clinsoft, which shares our commitment to the highest standards of quality, integrity and efficiency in the management of clinical research," said James Breitmeyer, President and CEO of HCRI. "In our work with industry sponsors, it is essential to use systems that are recognized as both innovative and industry standard."

The Mayo Physician Alliance for Clinical Trials (MPACT), will use Clinsoft's Clintrial for clinical data management and Clintrace for adverse event reporting. The alliance also has installed Integrated Review, a medically reviewed reporting tool that is compatible with both products and has plans to deploy Clinsoft's Clintrial Connect, a browser-based data capture solution that integrates with Clintrial to deliver a unified clinical data environment.

"Our primary focus is to manage clinical and safety data within a validated platform," said Jagjit Gill, Director of Data Management, MPACT. "The utility of Clinsoft's suite of applications has enhanced the efficiency within our operational model and delivered regulatory compliance."
