Esoterix launches CenterlinX for clinical trials data management

"CenterlinX is a proactive system from Esoterix that provides a seamless technology infrastructure for maximum flexibility in protocol management over the study's lifestyle," said Piers Barrington, Director of Information Technology for Esoterix. "In a partnership with Noblestar, a company focused on delivering software engineering based solutions, we started this initiative nearly two years ago," concluded Barrington.

CenterlinX is designed to incorporat worldwide accession numbers to simplify sample tracking, real-time inspection, and auto verification of data for each patient visit. In addition, the solution is designed to automate the ordering of tests, to reduce errors and ensure protocol compliance. Esoterix said CenterlinX offers multi-level services such as blinding and alert flagging and was validated according to the FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 standards, with complete audit trail of all study events.

CenterlinX's protocol management is designed to provide clients with Web-based access for report viewing and customizing. Data can be transferred electronically, via diskette or CD-ROM.

"When Esoterix combines the scientific expertise of esoteric therapeutic areas with cutting-edge technology, assay customization, and state-of-the-art data management capabilities, our clients are better positioned to reach early, accurate decisions about drug performance, said Anthony Busa, President of Esoterix Clinical Trial Services. The net result is that compressing the typical development timetable may save millions of dollars in drug development costs. Esoterix clients will benefit from faster time-to-market, benefiting consumers as well."
