Dendrite International expands into Japanese markets

Dendrite has signed a three-year agreement with Teijin and a five-year agreement with TORII PHARMACEUTICAL, to implement the j-forceWEB solution, which will be purchased through Dendrite's partner Hitachi. Teijin and TORII will be implementing j-forceWEB to over 1,100 users throughout the two organizations. Dendrite Japan also will provide an array of supporting services to both Teijin's and TORII's sales and marketing organizations as part of the agreement.

Dendrite's advanced solutions continue to attract numerous pharmaceutical companies throughout Japan, said John Bailye, chairman and CEO of Dendrite. By implementing the j-forceWEB solution, Teijin and TORRI will further empower their sales representatives through the use of a sales effectiveness solution paired with the power and timeliness of the Web. This will significantly impact important operations activities throughout each of the company's sales organizations, and we are pleased to be selected as the partner to help them achieve these goals.

Dendrite's j-forceWEB is a comprehensive, Web-enabled suite of sales force effectiveness tools for the Japanese pharmaceutical market. These offerings are designed to provide sales representatives, field management and head office personnel with a centralized location to access product information, analyze sales information, record activity data and physician and institution databases.

In a separate release, Dendrite announced it has also signed its largest ever on-going service agreement to provide Pfizer Japan with a range of ongoing services associated with the implementation and support of its sales force productivity tools, including j-forceWEB.

Dendrite Japan has established a team of project management, technical, customer service and training resources to provide Pfizer with a range of implementation, development, solution integration, help center and training services.

Dendrite's understanding of the Japanese pharmaceutical marketplace along with their service offerings were an important factor in Pfizer's decision to implement the j-forceWEB solution suite, said Scott Morrison, Senior Director Business Technology for Pfizer.
