Marketing is not a department but a function that should run through the veins of any organisation. The reason we find it hard at times to get this right is because our "Marketers" are similarly unqualified people with similar perspectives
The future demands that we break down the walls and realesa marketing to the masses. perhaps we are on the way their already with Medical marketers and the like. When we define marketing correctly it is clear this is not a job for a department
We then end up with a bunch of marketers that are better described as coordinators/project managers. It is time to giddy up and face the music. Kill the department and unleash the power of Marketing!
